Description:
This project is a series of 42 hand-made collages developed around the theme of technology versus nature, examining how the two intersect and influence one another. Each collage was created within a five-minute time limit using collected imagery and typography. From the full set, 24 collages were selected, refined digitally, and compiled into a GIF.
Process & Learning:
The project functioned as both a conceptual and technical exercise in layout, composition, asset collection, and typographic integration. The strict time constraint required rapid decision-making and prioritized idea generation over refinement. Challenges included sourcing relevant imagery and balancing it with preexisting type. Through this process, the project emphasized working within limitations, embracing imperfection, and using constraints to encourage experimentation, adaptability, and creative momentum.
