1-70: Personal Design ArchiveTypography  ///  Editorial Design  ///  Book Design

Description:

This project is a curated archive of 70 design works across a wide range of mediums, presented as a single perfect bound book. The collection combines well known and lesser known examples to expand the historical and visual frame of reference. The volume is organized as a series of case files and visually dissected to highlight the use of color, texture, and gesture, functioning as both an exhibition style catalogue and a working reference resource.

Process & Learning:

The process involved researching, selecting, and categorizing diverse works, then developing a consistent book system to organize and analyze them. Emphasis was placed on looking beyond the conventional design canon and building analytical groupings around formal qualities such as color, texture, and gesture. A key challenge was maintaining structural and visual consistency across varied material, addressed through careful layout systems, hierarchy, and pacing. The project strengthened research and curation methods, reinforced long form book design skills, and expanded a practical visual reference library for future design work.
